Caring for primates and exotic animals is a difficult thing.  So not suprisingly, they tend not to make ideal pets.  That's where we come into the picture.  With an ever growing need for displaced exotic pets, we offer sanctuary and education.  Many owners of exotic animals go into this endeavor without properly educating themselves.  In the case of primates, some think that they are a replacement for children or just cool pets.  They are unaware of the animal's special needs and requirements.  Such as being around others of the same species for proper socialization, there are specific dietary requirements in order for these animals to remain healthy and active.  Also enrichment, such as large enclosures with many activities to keep their body and mind stimulated.  Last but not least proper veterinary care.  We are lucky enough to have Susanne Urisitti, DVM as our consulting veterinarian.
